12 Round Minecraft Tower Designs
Round towers make any build look better. Here are 12 designs with the sizes that work, so you can plan them in the circle generator in seconds.
Round tower basics
Every round tower is a circle stacked upward. In the circle generator, set the diameter, choose Outline (or Thick for chunky walls), and set the Height. The total block count updates, and the .litematic download includes every layer.
12 tower designs
1. Wizard tower – 9 blocks wide, 30 tall
Narrow and tall with a pointy cone roof. Build the roof from shrinking circles (9, 7, 5, 3, 1) with 2 layers each. Purple or dark oak trim.
2. Castle corner tower – 13 wide, 24 tall
Thick walls (2 blocks) in stone bricks, with battlements on top: every other block on the top ring.
3. Spiral-staircase tower – 15 wide, 32 tall
15 blocks leaves a 1-block central pillar and a 2-block-wide stair around it.
4. Lighthouse – 11 wide at the base
Stack circles that shrink every 8 blocks (11, 9, 7), paint red and white stripes, and finish with a glass lamp room.
5. Grain silo – 11 wide, 20 tall
Iron blocks or smooth stone with a small dome roof of the same width.
6. Mage observatory – 21 wide
A short 21-block tower topped with a glass dome. Put an enchanting room underneath.
7. Elven tree tower – 17 wide
Oak or birch walls with leaf “spheres” sticking out of the sides. Make leaf balls with the sphere generator (7–9 blocks).
8. Watchtower – 7 wide, 20 tall
Small enough for early survival. Add a wider 9-block platform on top for the lookout.
9. Water tower – 15-wide tank on legs
A short 15-block cylinder raised on four 2×2 pillars, with a small dome on top.
10. Nether portal tower – 21 wide
Blackstone walls with a portal in the middle of the floor. 21 is odd, so the portal centres perfectly.
11. Mega keep – 31 wide, 50 tall
Thick walls of 3, floors every 6 blocks, and smaller 9-block turrets on the sides.
12. Ruined tower – any size
Build a full tower, then remove blocks in a jagged line from the top and add moss, vines and cracked bricks.

Clock or bell tower
A square or round tower 9–11 blocks wide with a large clock face on each side (use stripped logs and buttons for the hands) and a bell in an open belfry at the top.
Guard tower with arrow slits
A 7–9 block stone tower with 1-block-wide, 2-block-tall gaps in the walls (arrow slits) and an overhanging lookout floor with fences as railings.
Simple 5×5 survival tower
The fastest early-game tower: a 5×5 hollow cobblestone column with a ladder inside, a crafting table and chests on the top floor, and torches every few blocks.
Modern glass tower
White concrete corners, full-height glass walls and flat roofs with slabs. Works best as a skyscraper in a city build.
Building any tower layer by layer
- Plan the footprint (round towers: use the circle generator).
- Build 5–6 block tall sections, adding a floor each time.
- Change the wall block or add a trim line every section so tall walls don’t look flat.
- Finish with a roof from the dome generator or a cone of shrinking circles.
