How it works
Each layer has one step. The step moves around the centre pillar as you go up, forming a spiral. “Steps per full turn” controls how steep it is: more steps = gentler climb.
- Set the radius (how far the stairs reach from the centre).
- Pick a pillar size.
- Set the height and steps per turn.
- Build layer 1, then move the layer slider up and build the next step.
Fitting it in a tower
A radius of 5 with a 3×3 pillar fits inside a 13-block round tower. Plan the tower wall with the circle generator using a diameter of 2 × radius + 3.
Tips
- Use stairs blocks for the steps and slabs on the inner edge for a smoother look.
- Leave 3 blocks of headroom above each step.
- Light the pillar with lanterns every few layers.
